Death*He died on 7 June 2003 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG.2 
His parents were living at 10 Harvard Road in Groveland, Essex County, MassachusettsG, when he was born. 
His obituary appeared on the Legacy.com website and read as follows:

WEST SPRINGFIELD - James C. Martin, 35, died Saturday in Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Melrose and has lived in West Springfield for 33 years. He worked as an attendant for Whirley Car Wash in Springfield. He leaves his mother, Ruth (Laskey) Martin of West Springfield; two brothers, John F. of Springfield, and Thomas E. of Chicopee; a sister, Penne A. Martin of West Springfield; an aunt, Alethea Cormier of West Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. in West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home. Calling hours are Wednesday 2-4 and 7-8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the West Springfield Police Department Dare Program, 26 Central Street, West Springfield, MA.3
