CANAAN – Jeanne P. Evans, 81, of Evans Lane, died Saturday at Hanover Terrace Healthcare in Hanover. She was born in Lowell, Mass., the daughter of Frank and Edith (Lister) Mitchell. She lived in Canaan for more than 60 years. Evans provided care for the disabled elderly. She enjoyed camping and cooking. Survivors include two sons, Ronald Evans and Rick Evans, both of Canaan; two daughters, Joy Roberts of Amherst and Donna Burke of New Smyrna Beach, Fla; two sisters, Dorothy Lull of Andover and Bernice Houze of Lakeland, Fla; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Her husband, Elmer Evans, died in March; a son, Allan Evans, died in 1993. A brother, Alan Mitchell, and a twin sister, Frances Grace, also died previously. Graveside services will be held privately in Canaan Street Cemetery in Canaan. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, New Hampshire chapter, 10 Ferry St., Suite 419, Concord 03301. Chadwick Funeral Services in New London is in charge of the arrangements.5 |

| Their marriage announcement appeared in the 16 July 1966 Concord Monitor of Concord, New Hampshire and read as follows: Parker Weds Mitchell. Rev. H. Franklin Parker, father of the bridegroom, officiated when Miss Allan Lister Mitchell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allan L. Mitchell of Oak Hill Road, was married to Lyman Hussey Parker. Mr. Parker is the son of Rev. and Mrs. Parker of Chichester. The marriage took place at Chichester Congregational Church, of which Rev. Mr. Parker is pastor. A reception at Abbott House, Concord, followed the ceremony. The bride, escorted by her father, wore a bell-skirted gown of embroidered organza, made with detachable train. Her shoulder-length bouffant silk illusion veil was attached to a crown of pearls and lace. She carried a bouquet of white roses and daisies, with ivy. Miss Kaile Mitchell, her sister's maid of honour, wore a gown of pink silk organza, made with white train attached at the waist. Her veil matched her gown, and she carried an arrangement of white daisies, pink roses and ivy. Bridesmaids, gowned like the maid of honor, were the Misses Jacquelyn Lull of Andover, a cousin of the bride, and Donna Mattice of Chichester and Bonnie Bowlby of Concord. Their flowers were white daisies. Carleton Deming of Concord, a college classmate of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Frederick and Alan Shaw of Chichester, and Gale Marston, a cousin of the bridegroom, also of Chichester. Sophia Ollis of Enfield, a cousin of the bride, was flower girl. She carried pink daisies and wore a headband of these flowers. Michael Upton and David Upton, sons of Mr. and Mrs. John Upton, Concord, were page and ring-bearer. Miss Linda Wladkowski of Chichester was organist. Jean Ollis of Enfield attended the guest book at the reception. Mrs. Mitchell chose for her daughter's wedding an aqua linen sheath, and matching accessories. The bridegroom's mother wore a pale yellow sheath, with white accessories. Both had corsages of yellow roses. Among the guests also were Mrs. Alice Marston, grandmother of the bridegroom, and Mrs. Cora Taylor and Mrs. Edith Mitchell, grandmothers of the bride. All wore pink dresses and corsages of white rosebuds. For the couple's trip to Cape Cod the bride had selected a brown linen sheath with beige accessories and yellow rose corsage. Mrs. Parker is a 1964 alumna of Concord High School and is employed by the United Life and Accident Insurance Co. Mr. Parker is an alumnus of the University of New Hampshire and was graduated from Concord Commercial College this year.3 |

Allana Lister Mitchell. Concord, NH - Allana Mitchell, daughter of Allan and Eleanor Mitchell, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2024, at Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord, NH at the age of 77. Allana was born October 31, 1946, in North Conway and was raised in Concord. She lived in Epsom for 33 years, raising her family there. She moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida spending 17 years in the sunshine state and returned to Concord to spend her most recent years near her family. She graduated from Concord High School, NH Technical Institute and Franklin Pierce College, where she received a bachelor's degree in nursing. Allana volunteered on the Epsom Rescue Squad for 20 years, and this sparked her lifelong career in healthcare. In 1981 she became one of the first women to be a licensed Paramedic in the state of NH. Allana continued her education in nursing, eventually becoming an international registered Nurse. She practiced nursing in London, Romania, St. Croix, Florida and locally she worked at the Elliot Hospital for 15 years. Allana had a passion for traveling, visiting India, China, France and Iceland to name a few, her all-time favorite city and travel destination was London England. Allana is survived by her two children Shelley Parker Salerno and her husband Gerald Salerno of Hobe Sound, FL and Shawn Parker and his wife Darci Rae Parker of Bow, her beloved grandchildren Trenton, Liam, and Grace Parker, former husband Lyman Parker and her sister Kaile Mansir. She also leaves behind her dear friends Bonnie Bowlby Wright of Concord and Jaimiesson Newton-Moore of London, England. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. RANDOLPH -- Timothy F. Mansir, 59, of Middle Street, Randolph, passed away Monday, Sept. 25, 2006, at his home unexpectedly. He was born in Bangor on June 5, 1947, a son of Charles and Christine Shea Mansir. A graduate of Gardiner Area High School, class of 1965, Tim had been employed at Seacoast Security in Rockport for many years. He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, fishing, hunting, photography and the Allagash. He was hardworking and generous. Tim was predeceased by his father, and his aunt and uncle, Constance and John Hinkley. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Christine and Arthur Benner of Randolph; his wife, Kaile Mitchell Mansir of North Conway, N.H; his daughter, Erin Finch and husband, Jeremy, of Randolph; his sister, Penny McCarthy and husband, Charles, of Brewer; two grandchildren, Griffin and Braden Finch; niece and nephews Brandon, Cameron and Abby; uncle and aunt Bill and Rachel Shea and their families; aunt and uncle Polly and Everett Mansir and their families; close friend, cousin and caretaker Peter Hinkley, and Peter's brothers. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Extension Cemetery, Randolph.
