When the 1950 census was taken the family was living in Flushing, Michigan and Robert worked in administration at a private school.
According to his wife Christine's 1971 obituary Robert was living in Lexington, Virginia when she died in a Michigan nursing home. |
| His obituary appeared in the 19 December 1978 Flint Journal and read as follows:
STANLEY, Robert H. OF Flushing, age 73, died December 15, 1978 at St. Dominic Hospital, Jackson Miss. Memorial services will be held at a later date at Flushing United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Flushing United Methodist Bell Choir. Surviving are wife, Lucy; daughters Mrs. John Teeuwissen (Betsy) of Jackson Miss., Mrs. Charles (Molly) Tate of Flushing; son, Robert Jr., of Flushing.5 |
